Hey, y’all. Sorry it’s been a while. I’ve been busy growing my grant-writing business, reading epic fantasy, and not really working on my novel all that much. I’ve also been promoting my comic! Managed to give away/sell 10 copies of #1 and may do the same with #2 pretty soon.
Bubblegum-Man is heading into #3 as of this writing. Check it out on the site if you have a minute. Maybe it’ll start showing up in Google results…
I finished painting my Necron army! Pics to come soon. Probably next week, since I don’t feel like dragging’em out of the closet at this moment.
I’ve been reading Brandon Sanderson’s Way of Kings, book one in the Stormlight Archive. It’s good. Long, but good. The pacing is great. Much better than what I remember from Jordan’s WoT. No offense, Jordanites.
If you haven’t checked out Bernard Hennen’s The Elven book, give it a look. It’s an amazing deconstruction of the epic journey in fantasy, as everything that can go wrong, does go wrong, and it’s often unclear what the protagonists are going to do about it, if anything. It’s crazy.
Bubblegum-Man #5 to premiere online in the new year! So be on the lookout for that. And as always, The Tang of Fate is nearly done. The most recent draft is finished. I’m just waiting on feedback from one or two beta-readers then it’s one more edit and off to the agents. Exciting times!
